Flying Into San Carlos, Mexico
If you’re coming from the United States you must first check into Mexico through a port of entry (any International Airport – Guaymas, Hermosillo, Nogales, or Tijuana), and follow the proper protocol with customs and immigration. Here you will submit payment for your
Single Flight Permit or
Multiple Entry Permit that will allow you to fly in Mexico airspace.
After you clear through an international port of entry (or once you are in a Mexican territory airfield), you will need to file a flight plan to San Carlos
“LEO" Airpark, identifier "BLB" with

Fly over the station and proceed on the international non-controlled airfield approaching path to land at the Airpark.

Park you airplane, tie-down, and be sure everything is set, then proceed to the Airpark office to close your flight plan. Please have all documents ready to show Airpark attendant, including your Single Flight Permit or Multiple Entry Permit.
Prior to departure you must file a flight plan at the Airpark office. After take-off and as soon as you can, check with Guaymas Tower Control for traffic information.
Remember, when you’re flying out of Mexico (to the Unites States) you need to check-out through an international airport, most commonly same as listed above.
